Ra-One & Orphan's of Indian Railways

In the recently released movie Ra-One , Shahrukh Khan says to his young son who feels that the bad and evil is "Cool" . Yes , bad is cool and is in ,  isn't it Mr.SRK . You have named  the movie on the main villian character ( Ra-one ) , just to give it the so called "Cool" effect 


Ra-One is a average movie . Labelled as the one of the most costliest movie made in India and VFX which will match any Hollywood movie , it is actually shot very stylishly . Few of the scenes were simply breathtaking.


One of them comes late in the movie in which SRK does breathtaking & gravity defying stunts on a local Mumbai train whose brakes are not working and he has to use his super power to stop it and saves lives which are on board in the train . 


SRK in one interview mentioned that it will be  something we have never seem , but Sir with all due respect , we have seen these stunts before and actually daily . No, i am not talking about Spiderman2 from where the whole sequence is copied  . I am taking about the Orphans of Indian Railways . 

Recently a video went viral of a young kid doing these stunts on local Mumbai train.Stunts so dangerous that will leave you in awe and disgust . Awe because there were kids who were doing them . Disgust because we know that any time the kid can fall and succumb. 


Authorities as usual woke up and RPF arrested 28 students in 5 days . Authorities also promised that they will go to schools and educate children about the dangers of doing such stunts . 


But the problems here is that most of these "Railway Stuntkids"  don't go to school , there were born once near one of the stations . Orphaned and not wanted in life , railway station became there home and railways there life . Doing petty jobs from cleaning , theft to underage  prostitution they did what ever was required to survive and earn bread . Under constant physical abuse and no light of improvement in life , they seek solace in the speed of the train . When ever they do stunts there are not some coolie or some cleaner , they are indeed super heroes . Super Heroes whose videos will go viral in Youtube and people talk abt them in office , colleges ,tea shops. If there is a accident it can't be that bad , death can't be worst than life for these kids .


You see Mr SRK, these kids idolize you . They love you , they want to be like you and in process  to emulate you , they would continue doing these stunts . When one will die in an accident doing these stunts ,  authorities will catch few offenders , do s some safety shows in a posh Ambani-Tata school and close the matter.



If we want to do some good for these kids , we need to work on first giving them education .Opening a school in  railway station's will be a good idea . With food available in school as mid-day meals, these kids will throng the schools .Next will be some vocational training which will be useful in there future outside the stations . 


With food in stomach , and dream of a better future , these kids will learn to respect life and probably fear to do these stunts . 


In Ra-One , good triumphs evil .But in real life a person is not evil , it is a condition that makes him evil . For the Orphan's of Indian Railways poverty & ignorance is the evil and i hope some day they will defeat this evil and that day will be the true Diwali .
